Put out of service
1. Close main valve.
3. Mount the connection cover.
Hold the holes on the square
for 3 4 seconds and then
slowly release the hole. Air
must be sucked in to ensure
that the hydrant is emptied
and will not suffer frost dama
ge in winter.
If the drainage is not functioning, the water supply operator
must be informed immediately.
2. Open side valves (1 turn).
4. Close the protective cover until
it clicks into place.
To protect it from incorrect operation,
the CLASSIC hydrants are equipped with
a spindle extension which rises under
pressure. If the fire-hydrant is incorrectly
operated, the upper part of the protective
cover cannot be closed. The correct pro-
cedure for putting out of service (see also
information plate) must be observed.
