Safety instructions
In order to be able to use the appliance properly and safely, every
user must first read the operating instructions and observe the
safety instructions contained therein. Take care of these operating
instructions and keep them in a place where they can be accessed
by everyone.
Only staff who have been trained accordingly, know the appliance
and are authorised to carry out work in this field should use this
appliance.
The machine may only be opened by trained specialists - even
during repairs. The machine is to be unplugged from the mains
before opening.
When using PTFE-coated magnetic bars, please pay attention to the
following: Chemical reactions vof PTFE occur in contact with mol-
ten or dissolved alkaline and alkaline earth metals, as well as with
fine-particled powders of metals of the 2. and 3. group of the peri-
odical system at temperatures above 300 - 400°C. Only elementary
fluorine, chlorine trifluoride and alkaline metals do attrack PTFE,
RO/RT 0205
halogen hydrocarbons have a reversibly swelling effect.

Correct use
IKAMAG RO 5 power, IKAMAG RO 10 power and IKAMAG RO 15
power are laboratory devices. They are used in laboratories in the
chemical industry, schools and pharmacies to name a few. The
devices are suitable for simultaneous mixing of substances which
are placed on mounting plates. The built-in stirrer makes it possi-
ble to mix 5, 10 or 15 stirring positions at the same time and with
equal intensity. The mixing intensity depends on the motor speed
and the size of the magnetic stirring bar.
variants IKAMAG RT 5 power, IKAMAG RT 10 power and IKA-
MAG RT 15 power are also suitable for controlling temperature.
