5 Pull the starter cord until you feel slight
resistance (approx. 10 cm), and then pull it four
times quickly and vigorously to the end of the
cord.
6 Once the engine has started, push the choke
lever (5) to (fig. 7) after approx. 10 seconds.
If the engine fails to start, you must repeat
the starting process.

1 Leave the ignition switch (3) at I.
2 Leave the choke lever (5) at:

vigorously to the end of the cord until the engine
starts running.
If the engine fails to start, you must repeat the

to return to idle running.
2 Press the ignition switch to STOP and keep it
pressed.
3 Allow the trimming strings to rotate until they
stop.

- If you are working with a petrol-powered
trimmer for the first time, you must first
familiarise yourself with the operation and use of
the trimmer with the motor not running.
- Always work with high speed; this will ensure
the best cutting results.
- If you hit a stone or a tree during operation, you
must stop the engine and check the trimmer for
damage.
Attention. When working on complex terrain
or on slopes, you must always stand below the
cutting head.
Always wear goggles and ear protection.
Cutting
- Move the petrol-powered trimmer similarly to
a standard scythe, horizontally from right to left
and back again. You can determine the cutting
height by the level at which you hold and move
the trimmer.
Deep cutting
If you want to remove weed and moss from your
lawn, you must hold the trimmer at a position
which allows the trimming string to touch the
ground in front of the protective guard.
Attention: Since you are cutting close to the
ground, soil and stones might be raised. Maintain
enough distance to persons, animals, cars, etc.
It is absolutely necessary to wear protective
glasses.
Cutting close to and around obstacles
Carefully approach the obstacle with the
trimming string and cut around the obstacle with
the string tip.
If the trimming string touches stones, trees or
walls, it will be subject to early fraying or fracture.
Automatic trimming string
Your petrol-powered trimmer is supplied with a
full string magazine,
The string is subject to wear during operation.
In order to feed in new string, you must operate
the device at full throttle and vigorously push
the head of the string magazine (11) against the
ground.
The string is automatically released by centrifugal
