This device complies with the stipulated safety
instructions for electric machines.
Carefully read the operating manual before you
commission the device.
Any improper use may result in personal injury
or damage to property. Persons who are not
familiarised with the operating manual must not
use the device. Keep the operating manual in a
safe place.
Do not allow children and young people to use
the device.
Intended use Intended use
The intended purpose of the device is the
trimming of lawns or grass for private use.
If the device is not used for its intended purpose,
or in case of any modification to the device, the
manufacturer does not accept any liability.
Please also observe the safety notes, the
assembly and operating instructions, as well
as the general applicable accident prevention
regulations.

Make sure that there are no persons or animals
within the operating range. Do not use the
device if you are tired or lacking concentration,
or if your ability to react is impaired by alcohol or
medication. Inattentiveness may result in severe
injury.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Ensure a
firm and secure footing and wear non-skid shoes.
Wear long trousers to protect your legs. If you
have long hair, you must cover your head.
Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair may get
caught in moving parts. Wear protective glasses.
Use ear protection in case of loud noise.
Only work in daylight or adequate artificial light.
Visually check the device prior to each use.
Check whether all screws and connections are
firmly tightened.
Always hold the device with both hands. Make
sure that the handles are dry, clean and free from
fuel mixture.
When starting or running the engine, make sure
to keep your body parts and clothing away from
the string head.
Remove any foreign matter such as stones from
the operating range. Otherwise it might be
hurled around during cutting.
Keep the string head as close to the ground as
possible.
When working on a slope, make sure to stand
below the string head.
Always make sure that there is no accumulation
of objects or the like in the string head, the
protective hood or the engine.
Do not use the device without protective hood.
Always switch off the device before setting it
aside.
Do not use scythe blades, wires or similar
equipment.
Only use equipment recommended by the
manufacturer.
Only use the fuel recommended in this manual.
Do not store the fuel in vessels which have not
been recommended for this purpose.
Keep the device in a safe place. Keep it away from
flammable materials and ignition sources such as
ovens or stoves. The fuel tank may only be filled
outdoors or in adequately ventilated areas.
Do not smoke while refuelling or operating the
device.
Do not open the tank cap and do not refill fuel as
long as the engine is running or the device is still
hot.
Do not use the device without exhaust pipe and
correctly installed exhaust pipe protection. Do
not touch the exhaust pipe.
