Protective hood for string
Protective hood for string
Completely unscrew the plastic knob at the lower
part of the trimming tube (fig. 1) and remove
the complete string magazine from the shaft
(fig. 2). Use the supplied hexagon socket wrench
to loosen the hexagon socket screws of the
protective hood connection (fig. 3).
Now you can remove the protective hood for the
string (10).
The string protection must be applied with the
closed side pointing towards the engine. Now
you must retighten the hexagon socket screw for
the connection of the protective hood.
String magazine
Completely unscrew the plastic knob at the lower
part of the trimming tube (fig. 1) and remove the
complete string magazine from the shaft (fig. 2).
Harness
First balance the petrol-powered trimmer with
the engine switched off.
- Apply the shoulder strap (17).
- Adjust the strap length so that the snap hook is
approximately one hand below your right hip.
- Hook the petrol-powered trimmer into
the snap hook.
- Allow the petrol-powered trimmer to balance
out. The cutting tools may just reach the ground
when you are in normal working position.
During operation, you must hook the petrol-
powered trimmer into the snap hook of the
harness while the engine is running.
Petrol
Only use a mixture of unleaded petrol and a
special 2-stroke engine oil at a mixing ratio of
30
40:1.
Attention: Do not use any other
mixing ratio and do not use pure petrol.
Do not use any fuel which is older than 2-3
months.
Empty the tank for longer operational breaks and
refill it before operation start.
Mixing petrol 40:1
6.4 litres of petrol and 160 ml special 2-stroke oil
(petrol station)
- Fill 160 ml 2-stroke oil and 6.4 litres of petrol
into a fuel container and mix it by shaking the
container vigorously.
- Fill the fuel into the tank and apply the cap.
Filling in petrol
- Slowly unscrew the cap of the tank (7) so that
pressure and fuel vapours can safely escape.
- Fill in the 40:1 2-stroke mixture using a hopper
and tightly close the cap.

Starting the cold engine
Make sure that the trimming strings (12) are cut
to the length of the protective hood. Place the
trimmer on firm ground so that you can operate
the starter safely and with force.
1 Leave the ignition switch (3) (fig. 9) at I.
2 Switch the choke lever (5) (fig. 8) in the up-
position:
3 Press the injector (9) until the transparent petrol
line is filled with petrol.
4 Grab the handle and press the plastic bracket
on top of the handle downwards and then press
the hand throttle (4) and at the same time, press
the safety push button (16). Slightly release the
hand throttle until the safety push button is
