Operating the device
After you have connected the power plug to a suitable power outlet an audible signal sounds.
Place suitable cookware in the centre of the induction cooking field and press the ON/OFF
button once. When you have done that, the "Power" light starts to blink and an audible signal
sounds.
Note: If no further input occurs within 30 seconds of the device switching on, the light in the
display is turned off and the device goes into stand-by mode. To restart the device, press the
ON/OFF button once more.
You can select one of 10 power levels with the WATT function button. The level selected with
the arrow keys is shown in the display. The first 3 power levels are for keeping food and liquids
warm without cooking.
The temperature function button (TEMP.) allows you to select the temperature level which will
then be shown in the display. The preset temperature level is 120°C. You can set temperatures
between 60°C and 240°C using the arrow buttons.
(60°C, 80°C, 100°C, 120°C, 140°C, 160°C, 180°C, 200°C, 220°C, 240°C).
You can set the different cooking times with the TIMER function button. After pressing this
button the display shows the digit 0. You can set the desired time (max. 180 minutes) in
1-minute intervals using the arrow buttons. When the set time has elapsed an audible signal
sounds and the device automatically switches to stand-by mode.
After a short time the display returns from the timer setting back to the set temperature or
power level. The timer runs in the background and can be called up by pressing the timer
button.
Note: You can always change the set time using the arrow buttons. The previously set
temperature and power level remain unchanged. If the power or temperature level is reset, the
selected time remains unchanged.
Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet as soon as the cooking process has ended.
In power mode the maximum temperature is limited to 170°C. Higher temperatures trigger the
overheat protection. You should use this mode for cooking food and heating water.
In temperature mode the maximum temperature is limited to 240°C. Higher temperatures
trigger the overheat protection. You should use this mode for roasting food when fat needs to
be heated to a high temperature.
Cleaning and maintenance
Pull the power plug prior to cleaning the device. Do not use any caustic cleaning agents and
make sure that no water penetrates the device.
To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and the plug in
water or other liquids.
Wipe off the ceramic field with a damp cloth or use a mild, non-abrasive soap solution.
Wipe off the casing and the operating panel with a soft cloth or a mild detergent.
Do not use any petrol products to not damage the plastic parts and the casing/operating
panel.
Do not use any flammable, acidy or alkaline materials or substances near the device, as this
may reduce the service life of the device and lead to deflagration when the device is turned
on.
Make sure that the bottom of the cookware does not scrape across the surface of the ceramic
field, although a scratched surface does not impair the use of the device.
Make sure that the device was properly cleaned before storing it in a dry place.
