USB operation
The Limetree BRIDGE can play music from USB storage
USB
media such as USB sticks or harddisks. For this purpose
the device is equipped with a USB host connector on the rear side.
The USB memory can be formatted in one of the following file sys-
tems: FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3 or ext4. The storage medium can
also be fed via the USB connector of the Limetree BRIDGE, provided
the current draw of the device does not exceed 1.5 A. Thus standard
2.5" USB harddisks can be connected directly without the need for a
separate power supply.
The USB host port may also be used for charging smartphones.
Output mode of the digital outs
The digital outputs are adaptable to the performance spe-

cifications of the employed D/A converter. Thereby the
digital input signals are modified by a high-class sample rate con-
verter from the studio technology in such a way that all resolutions
offered by the network platform can be played back.
Mode 1: Sample rate of the digital outputs is limited to 96 kHz. PCM
data are output as 88.2 kHz or 96 kHz. DSD data are output as PCM
88.2 kHz. The Mode LED remains dark.
Mode 2: Sample rate of the digital outputs is limited to 192 kHz. PCM
data are output as 176.4 kHz or 192 kHz. DSD data are output as PCM
176.4 kHz. The Mode LED is lit yellow.
