1 Control TIME for adjusting the dwell time (1 – 60 s)
for a camera picture in the automatic selection
mode
2 Volume control VOL.
3 Contrast control CONT.
4 Brightness control BRIT.
5 Control V-HOLD for vertical synchronization
6 Button VCR for switching to video recorder replay
button pressed once:
The monitor is switched to video recorder
replay; the LED (7) lights up.
button pressed once again:
The monitor is switched to replay of the camera
signals; the LED is extinguished.
7 Indicating LED: lights up if the video recorder
replay is activated with the button VCR (6)
8 Hinged cover of control panel (open); for opening
or closing the cover, press the marking
9 Button TALK without function
10 Buttons "1" to "4" for manual selection of a camera
channel:
"1" = reception channel 1
"2" = reception channel 5
"3" = reception channel 3
"4" = cable-connected camera, connected to the
jack CA4 (15)
11 Button AUTO for activating the automatic selec-
tion; for switching off, press one of the buttons "1"
to "4" (10)
12 POWER switch with indicating LED
With activated stand-by mode (see chapter 5.1),
the LED starts flashing.
13 Reception antenna; screw this antenna onto the
SMA jack (14)
14 SMA jack for the supplied reception antenna (13)
or for connecting a 2.4 GHz directional antenna
(e. g. MONACOR DX-230)
15 Connection jack CA4 for operating a cable-con-
nected camera; pin configuration see chapter 4.3
16 Phono jack "switch out" for the control channel
output for connecting a signal device or another
additional unit
With activated control channel, the centre contact
of the jack is connected to ground (also see fig. 3
and chapter 4.3, point 4).
17 Audio output (white phono jack) and video output
(yellow phono jack) for video recording or for con-
necting a second monitor: connection to the audio
and video input of a recorder or a second monitor
18 Audio input (white phono jack) and video input (yel-
low phono jack) for video recorder replay: connec-
tion to the audio and video output of a recorder
19 Mains cable for connection to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz)

2 Safety Notes

This unit corresponds to the directive for electromag-
netic compatibility 89/336/EEC and to the low volt-
age directive 73/23/EEC.
Attention! The monitor is supplied with dangerous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing
to skilled personnel only. Inexpert hand-
ling may cause an electric shock hazard.
Furthermore, any guarantee claim will
expire if the unit has been opened.
Please observe the following items in any case:
Caution! The picture tube of the monitor is vacuous.
In case of mechanical damage, there is an implo-
sion hazard and scattered glass may cause injuries.
The monitor is suitable for indoor use only. Protect
it against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and extreme temperatures (admissible
ambient temperature range -10 °C to +55 °C).
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the unit,
e. g. a drinking glass.
The heat generated within the unit must be carried
off by air circulation. Therefore, never cover the air
vents.
Do not insert anything into the air vents! This may
result in an electric shock or in damage to the unit.
Do not operate the monitor or immediately dis-
connect the plug from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the monitor or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
A damaged mains cable of the power supply unit
must be replaced by the manufacturer or author-
ized skilled personnel only.
Never pull the mains cable when disconnecting the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug!
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
No liability for any damage will be accepted if the
unit is used for other purposes than originally in-
tended, if it is not correctly connected or operated
or not repaired in an expert way.
If the monitor is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
