2 Important Notes
The receiver corresponds to all required directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
Do not operate the receiver in areas of very high or
very low temperatures (admissible ambient temper-
ature range -10 °C to +55 °C).
For cleaning of the housing do not use any strong
detergents or chemicals.
No guarantee claims for the receiver and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the receiver is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
correctly mounted or operated, or not repaired in an

3 Applications

In connection with a 2.4 GHz transmitter or a 2.4 GHz
wireless surveillance camera of the series "AV-..."
from MONACOR, the receiver AV-3030RDX serves
for wireless audio and video transmission. With addi-
tional units of the MONACOR range it is possible to
set up a wireless video surveillance system. Due to
the weatherproof housing (IP54) the AV-3030RDX is
especially suitable for outdoor mounting.
local conditions, the transmitter used, and the recep-
tion antenna used. In the open, the range can extend
up to 500 m, in buildings up to 50 m depending on the
condition of the walls and ceilings. By using a recep-
tion antenna with gain, the range can considerably be
increased.

4 Setting into Operation

4.1 Placing of transmitter and receiver
Practical experience has shown that an optimum
reception is reached when placing the units at a mini-
mum height of 1.5 m to 2 m above the ground. To find

a good place of mounting, a trial run is recommended.
The transmission quality can substantially be changed
by displacing the transmitter and/or the receiver by a
few centimetres only.
4.2 Mounting
1) To be able to connect the receiver after mounting,
2) Fix the inside part via the support (3) to a wall or a
3) Connect the supplied antenna to the SMA jack (4)
.
4) After the connection (chapter 4.3) and adjust-

4.3 Connection of the units

Prior to the connection of units, switch them off.
Always connect the power supply for the receiver last
of all. To change existing connections, first disconnect
the power supply for the receiver and switch off the
connected units.
If the receiver is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
The transmission range largely depends on the
first pull out the inside part (2) of the housing. For
this purpose press the two latches (1) outwards so
that the inside part can be pulled out.
pole so that the cable inlets (5) point downwards
and no rain can penetrate the unit.
In case of pole mounting use the supplied clip
with the wing nuts and the screws according to fig. 1.
and screw it down. To obtain a larger range, an-
other 2.4 GHz antenna of the series DX-... from
MONACOR may also be connected to this jack.
ments (chapter 4.4) place the housing.
