REGULAR INSPECTIONS

Check and try regularly the following points:
-
Pressure of all compartments.
-
Pressure security valves, that should be clean to operate properly.
-
Bail out the water taken in and check the drain. Do not forget to close the cap.
Loading of the batteries.
-
The reflective tapes.
-
The lifting slings.
-
The bow release device that should operate correctly.
-
The righting lines.
-
-
The life-saving quoits.
-
The life of the first-aid kit and portable fire-extinguiser.

MAINTENANCE

Wash the boat regularly with fresh water and neutral soap if necessary. Do not use solvents,
detergents or aggressive chemical products.
Avoid scraping the hull, use a high-pressure water cleaner.
The use of the boat cover supplied with the boat is recommended in order to prevent water and
dirt intake.
Follow the maintenance instructions concerning your engine and release hook.

REPAIRS

DANGER
Locker nº 1 contains a kit (E) that will allow you to perform urgent repairs (small punctures). You
are advised to have your boat inspected by a professional as soon as possible after the urgency
is solved.
Your dealer will advise you regarding the most suitable parts and material for the small repairs
that you may carry out yourself.
Small scratches on hull or deck: fill in with fibreglass paste, smoothen and fine-sand the
surface, then paint it with top-coat.
Any hole drilled on the hull, deck or transom should be conveniently sealed.
Important repairs on the tube and hull must be carried out by professionals.

Comply with the local maritime authorities rules.

SAFETY ADVICE

Renember your safety and your companions' depend on your foresight.

During navigation, persons aboard are not authorised to stay at bow or to sit on the edges of
the tubes. Avoid standing and wear your life vest.
-
Consider you have aboard very flammable fuel that must not come into contact with
electrical connections or open flame. On locker nº1 you will find a portable fire-extinguisher
(A) of 2,5 kg for fires type B and C (liquid and gas).
Accidents in the water may happen suddenly.

In case of flooding the boat will still keep sufficient buoyancy to allow overcoming the
-
situation calmly.
Consider the difficulty of getting aboard from the water. This difficulty is conditioned by your
-
physical strength and your weight. Locker nº 1 contains a boarding ladder (B).
-
Pay attention to the dominant winds and to the currents, particularly to their effect on fuel
consumption.
-
Make sure there is no one in the water near the engine before setting off. Remember the
propeller is a danger for persons in the water.
