*Depending on the model and features, a filter fleece might
be included in the scope of delivery.
If it is, clean it as follows:
1. Switch off the appliance and empty the dust container,
Chapter 3.4, "Emptying the dust container".
2. Remove the cover of the dust container by pulling it off.
3. Twist the filter screen with the filter fleece off of the
cover.
4. Pull the filter fleece off of the filter screen (Fig. 34).
5. Thoroughly rinse the filter fleece by hand in cold or
lukewarm water (Fig. 35).
ATTENTION:
The filter fleece is washable, but it may not be cleaned in
dishwashers or washing-machines. After rinsing the filter
fleece, let it dry for approx. 24 hours at room tempera-
ture. Only put it back into the appliance when it is com-
pletely dry.
6. A very soiled filter fleece, however, should better be
replaced by a new one ( Chapter 5.2, "Spare parts").
7. Put the cleaned or new, completely dry filter fleece over
the filter screen (Fig. 36).
8. Make sure that the filter fleece fits flush with the top of
the filter screen (Fig. 36).
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Before you clean the appliance, switch
off the appliance and remove the mains plug,
3.2, "Switching off and retracting power cord".
ATTENTION:
Do not use cleaning or scouring agents or alcohol for
cleaning, as these might damage the appliance housing.
Clean the outside of the housing using a slightly damp cloth
only.
