Achtung: Die Befeuerung mit Trockenbrennstofftabletten erfordert viel
Sauerstoff. Eine gute Belüftung des Zimmers ist daher notwendig!
Tabletten, die nicht restlos abgebrannt sind, wegen der auftretenden Ge-
ruchsbelästigung nicht ausblasen, sondern unbedingt ausbrennen lassen.
Falls nicht genügend Wasser im Kessel ist, sollte der Brennerschieber
auf eine feuerfesten Unterlage gelegt werden und hier die Brennstofftabletten restlos
abgebrannt werden.
16. Wenn das Manometer ca. 1 bar anzeigt, das Dampfabsperrventil durch das Sei-
tenfenster öffnen und das Schwungrad gemäß Abbildung von Hand anwerfen. Da-
durch setzt sich der Dampflastwagen in Betrieb.
17. Mit dem rechten Hebel der Fernsteuerung kann nach rechts bzw. links gelenkt
werden.
18. Nach Beendigung des Dampfbetriebes und dem Abkühlen sollte der Dampflast-
wagen gewartet werden. Noch im Kessel vorhandenes Wasser sollte ausgeschüttet
werden. Hierzu das Federsicherheitsventil abschrauben und vor dem Umkippen des
Modells alle losen aufgesetzten Teile abnehmen. Vorsicht bei heißem Wasser! Im
Kessel verbleibendes Wasser kann der Funktion nicht schaden, aber evtl. zu Ablage-
rungen an dem Schauglas führen. Kalkrückstände am Wasserstandsschauglas oder
im Kessel auf keinen Fall mit Essig oder sonstigen stark ätzenden Mitteln ent-
fernen (Empfehlung : Verwendung eines kalklösenden Mittels, welches Messing
und Lötzinn nicht angreift). Zum Abschluss das Modell trockenputzen.

19. Alle WILESCO-Dampfmodelle durchlaufen eine Endkontrolle. Bei einem evt.
Fehler können Sie den Dampflastwagen über Ihren Fachhändler oder direkt an uns
einsenden. Wir bitten um Verständnis, dass bereits angeheizte/gebrauchte Mo-
delle nicht gegen neue ausgetauscht werden können. Die häufigsten Reklamatio-
nen sind undichte Dampfkessel. Die Lötnaht wird durch Beheizung ohne ausreich-
enden Wasserstand zerstört. In solchen Fällen verflüssigt sich das Lötzinn an der
Lötnaht tropfenförmig und der Kessel wird undicht. Dies ist ein eindeutiger Beweis,
dass der Kessel trockenbeheizt wurde. Bitte beobachten Sie stets sorgfältig den
Wasserstand, da eine Trockenbeheizung jegliche Garantieansprüche aus-
schließt.
Umweltschutz wird auch bei uns groß geschrieben. Somit haben Sie die Möglich-
keit nach einem langen Dampfmaschinenleben diese und auch die Original-Verpa-
ckung an uns zurückzugeben. (Versandkosten werden nicht übernommen.) Alle zu-
rückgesandten Modelle / Verpackungen werden von uns einem fachgerechten Re-
cycling zugeführt.
Dieses Modell ist ausschließlich für die oben beschriebene Funktion bestimmt.
Technische Änderungen behalten wir uns vor.

precautions for your own safety:
1. For safety reasons, children should only use the
Steam
(recommended age: from 8 years). While the Engine is
running and until the complete cooling, the Steam Lorry must be under constant
observation.
2. Each irregularity in the course of the running of the Steam Lorry can be repaired
by a competent and authorized person or by WILESCO themselves. Otherwise any
guarantee expires.
3. Any unauthorized alteration, repair or manipulation to the standard specification
will also invalidate the guarantee unless the damage is a production fault.
4. The parts which are under steam pressure as boiler, spring loaded safety valve
etc. leave our premises only after a 100% control. The spring loaded safety valve
has not to be manipulated. The running of the Steam Lorry without any spring
loaded safety valve is not authorized. The spring loaded valve must be checked
before each running with a pression on the spring or a small pull on the upper valve
rod. If lime residues through hard water are on the spring loaded safety valve, the
valve must be changed immediately.
5. High temperatures: the principles on which your Steam Lorry operates mean
that the boiler, the boiler housing, the spring loaded safety valve, the steam pipes,
the smoke stack etc. become very hot. Steam also escapes from a drilling of the
cylinder base due to the function of this part. Do not touch in order to avoid the risk
of burns.
6. Safety precautions: in the course of the running, take care that children do not
touch any of the moving parts.
7. Danger if the boiler is heated without enough water! Always ensure
that the Steam Lorry has enough water in the boiler while running.
It is recommended to refill water when adding new dry fuel tablets.
The water must be visible always in the lower sight glass, otherwise
the joints become leaking and the boiler will be destructed. Any
following claim, damage or consequential damage cannot be accepted. If a leak
occurs in the boiler or any other part where water or steam escape, stop the Steam
Lorry immediately (remove the burner tray). Any necessary repair should be carried
out by authorized trained staff or at the WILESCO company.
8. The Steam Lorry meets all safety standards and actual regulations. Every boiler
has been submitted to a bursting pressure and water test of 5 bar. The operating
pressure is maximally 1,5 bar.
9. Operate the Steam Lorry only on heat resistant and dirt-repellent
undergrounds. Danger of burn and dirt! Due to the function of the aggregate
the exhaust emissions coming out of the exhaust pipe consists of oily
condensate.
10. Read the operating instruction carefully and keep it imperatively!

11.To fill the boiler take off at first the chimney cap (Caution! Danger of Burn) and

then the roof which is fixed with two magnets. Turn off the safety valve and fill the
boiler with the funnel up to 3/4 of the upper sight glass with warm water. Lift the
funnel a bit when filling the boiler so that the air inside the boiler can escape. Only
use water deficient in lime or even better destilled water. Screw in the safety valve
with washers, fix the roof and replace the chimney cap.
12. Oil the piston only after filling the boiler so that there is no steam pressure
in the boiler. At first close the cut-off valve and only then turn off the oil filler
screw and fill in Wilesco-Steam-Oil (Item-No. Z 83) while turning the fly-wheel
several times so that the oil is absorbed. It is necessary to oil before each operating
in order to avoid that the piston becomes stuck (1 - 2 drops are sufficient for an
battery into the transmitter.
14. Switch on both, receiver (switch on back side) and remote control.
15. Place 2 dry fuel tablets horizontally and 2 tablets vertically into
the burner slide (never more than 4 tablets) and light them. Only use
the original Wilesco burner slide.
Caution: Watch and keep all safety measures when handling with
open fire.
The burner slide is adjustable. The oxygen supply and the flame height can be
adjusted by moving the burner slide in relation to the air holes of the burner slide
guide in the boiler housing. Before adding new fuel tablets, always check the water
level and refill the boiler with water to ensure that the boiler does not run dry. The
ratio of fuel tablets to the quantity of water in the boiler is designed so that the
boiler cannot run dry without any added fuel tablets. The burner slide must be
completely pushed in. Important: After the heating process, remove the burner
slide from the guide whilst it is still hot, otherwise unburnt fuel may cause the
slide to stick. If the slide becomes stuck, it can be removed by tilting it slightly to
the left or right.
Caution: dry fuel tablets require a lot of oxygen to burn properly. That
is the reason why, for an indoors use, the room should be well
ventilated. To prevent unpleasant smells, the fuel tablets should be
burnt out - they should not be blown out. If there is not enough water in
the boiler, place the burner slide on a fireproof plate until the tablet had
burned out completely.
16. When the pressure gauge is at 1 bar open the cut-off valve through the side
window and turn the flywheel acc. to the figure. The Steam Lorry starts moving.
17.You can steer the lorry to the left and to the right with the lever of the remote
control.
18. After the use of the Steam Lorry and its cooling, the Engine should be serviced.
Pour out any water left in the boiler. For this, unscrew the spring loaded safety
valve and take off all of the loose parts before tipping over the Engine. Be very
careful if the water is still hot! Any water left in the boiler cannot do any damage
but might leave sediment on the sight glasses. Any lime formation on the sight
glasses or in the boiler have not to be removed in any case using vinegar or
corrosive agent (advise: use a lime dissolving agent which does not attack the brass
and the solder). Finally, dry the model using a clean cloth.

19. All WILESCO Steam Lorrys are carefully checked before leaving the factory.
However if a problem arises, you can return the Steam Lorry to a specialized
distributor or directly to WILESCO. We are sure you will understand that
of
adults
already fired or used models cannot be exchanged for new ones. The most
frequent claims are leaking boilers. The solder will be destroyed if your Steam
Lorry runs without enough water in the boiler. In such cases, the solder liquefy
drop-shaped and the boiler becomes leaking. This is an obvious proof that the boiler
was fired without enough water. Please watch always carefully the water level,
because the heating without enough water excludes any demand for guarantee.
This Steam Lorry is only meant for the above described function.

Camion Vapeur en pressant le ressort ou en tirant brièvement la petite barre
supérieure de la soupape. Si vous constatez des résidus de calcaire au niveau de la
soupape de sécurité dûs à l'utilisation d'eau calcaire, changez immédiatement la
soupape.
