RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

INSTALLATION
• The manufacturer wi l l not be hel d l i a bl e for any damages resul t i n g from i n correct or i m proper i n stal l a ti o n.
• The mi n i m um safety di s tance between the cooker top and the extractor hood i s 650 mm (some model s can be
i n stal l e d at a l o wer hei g ht, pl e ase refer to the paragraphs on worki n g di m ensi o ns and i n stal l a ti o n).
• Check that the mai n s vol t age corresponds to that i n di c ated on the rati n g pl a te fi x ed to the i n si d e of the hood.
• For Cl a ss I appl i a nces, check that the domesti c power suppl y guarantees adequate earthi n g.
Connect the extractor to the exhaust fl u e through a pi p e of mi n i m um di a meter 120 mm. The route of the fl u e
must be as short as possi b l e .
• Do not connect the extractor hood to exhaust ducts carryi n g combusti o n fumes (boi l e rs, fi r epl a ces, etc.).
• If the extractor i s used i n conj u ncti o n wi t h non-el e ctri c al appl i a nces (e.g. gas burni n g appl i a nces), a suffi c i e nt
degree of aerati o n must be guaranteed i n the room i n order to prevent the backfl o w of exhaust gas. The ki t chen
must have an openi n g communi c ati n g di r ectl y wi t h the open ai r i n order to guarantee the entry of cl e an ai r . When
the cooker hood i s used i n conj u ncti o n wi t h appl i a nces suppl i e d wi t h energy other than el e ctri c , the negati v e
pressure i n the room must not exceed 0,04 mbar to prevent fumes bei n g drawn back i n to the room by the
cooker hood.
• In the event of damage to the power cabl e , i t must be repl a ced by the manufacturer or by the techni c al servi c e
department, i n order to prevent any ri s ks.
• If the i n structi o ns for i n stal l a ti o n for the gas hob speci f y a greater di s tance speci f i e d above, thi s has to be taken i n to
account. Regul a ti o ns concerni n g the di s charge of ai r have to be ful f i l l e d.
USE
• The extractor hood has been desi g ned excl u si v el y for domesti c use to el i m i n ate ki t chen smel l s .
• Never use the hood for purposes other than for whi c h i t has been desi g ned.
• Never l e ave hi g h naked fl a mes under the hood when i t i s i n operati o n.
• Adj u st the fl a me i n tensi t y to di r ect i t onto the bottom of the pan onl y , maki n g sure that i t does not engul f the si d es.
• Deep fat fryers must be conti n uousl y moni t ored duri n g use: overheated oi l can burst i n to fl a mes.
