1. General Safety

1.1 Introduction

By using machines which can cause shock damage, injury damages and fire risks, comply the
following safety rules. Read the information and pay attention on these rules when using the machine.

1.2 Base rules

Prevent water with electricity.
Prevent slipping, leaking or dripping of the hose. A water collection ring must be used when drilling
above the head. For walls this is advisable. Remove water safely by using a water vac cleaner.
Cables, cords and electricity may not com into water.
Be attentive
Do not use the machine when you're not concentrated. Make sure that you can quickly switch off the
motor. Do not use machines which can't be switched on/off.

1.3 Personal Protection

Wear proper working clothes.
Don't wear baggy clothes or jewels. These can be gripped by moving parts. When working in the open
air, rubber gloves and shoes with grip soles are advisable. Wear a hairnet when having long hair.
Use personal protecting.
Use a helmet, gloves and safety glasses. Use a dust mask in case of dusty activities.

1.4 Equipment

Use the right equipment and do not overload this.
Only use the machine for the meant purposes. It is safer and mostly better to use core drills and saw
blades with the diameter which is advised for the different rotations of speed.
Carefully maintain the tool.
Make sure that the tool is sharp and clean to work, better and safer. Follow the service rules. Keep the
grips dry and free of oil and grease.
Check if the machine has damages.
Check if the function if the moving parts is OK. Don't stick / broken parts everything is right assembled,
etc. Damaged parts have to be replaced or repaired by a professional expert.
Use of accessories and auxiliary appliances meant in the manual or catalogue. By using other parts or
appliances injury damages may appear.

1.5 Surrounding

Keep the working area clear.
A disorderly working area can cause damages. Un authorised persons (children and animals) may not
touch the equipment or enter the working area. When drilling safely catch the core. After use, safely
store the machine in a dry and well closed area, out of reach of children.
Influences of the surrounding.
Make sure the working area is properly lightened. Don't use electric tools in a moist surrounding (rain)
or close to combustible materials.
Make sure of a safe
workplace.
Make sure that the tools are well fixed, so that it can't come loose. Before starting the machine check if
all keys and other auxiliary tools are removed. Make sure that the protecting caps are assembled and
stay out of dangerous moving parts.
Avoid an abnormal posture and see that you have a stable balance.
