DIA M O ND /DIA M O ND ICE REGULATORS
SECO ND STA GE
Second stage with air balancing system w hich
reduces the initial breathing e ff ort w hile pro-
viding a linear and constantly smooth breath-
ing. The system operation is based on a pneu-
matic piston w orking in close contact w ith the
spring, enabling the latter to w ork with a
lo w er load f orce (consequent light breathing)
ensuring a perf ect seal o f the air flo w during
the breathing out phase.
By actuating the knob located on the left of the
regulator (see Figure A-B) you can regulate the
breathing softness according to your breathing
demand and to the diving conditions.
By rotating it anticlock wise you w ill get the
maximum breathing so f tness and by rotating
it clock wise you will gradually reach a stan-
dard breathing flo w. This second stage conse-
quently allo ws individualizing the breathing
demand as a f unction o f the dive require-
ments and type.

The operation is o f the " Do w nstream " type.
This system allo ws f or lo w air consumption by
reducing air w aste, as it perf ectly meets the
breathing demand.
This means that the air flo w delivery is per-
f ectly controlled by the diver's breathing ac-
tion: a normal breathing action produces a
light air flo w, w hile heavy breathing due to
f atigue or deep diving produces a free air
flo w, also increased by the Venturi e ff ect.
In addition, this system also provides sa f ety
margins in case o f first stage overpressure:
should the intermediate pressure supplied by
the first stage suddenly increase, the second
stage w ould continue to w ork, thus releasing

excess pressure and enabling the diver to
breathe.
The control o f the DIVE and PRE-DIVE mecha-
nism allo ws to insert the Venturi e ff ect. This
system is placed around the knob regulating
the breathing e ff ort reduction system.
By actuating this mechanism placed to the
le f t o f the second stage you can insert the
Venturi e ff ect and consequently increase air
delivery.
By turning the lever to w ards the outside you
reach the "PRE-DIVE " position, w hile by turn-
ing the lever to w ards the diver you reach the
" DIVE " position. (see Figure C)
The "PRE-DIVE " position is recommended to
prevent accidental delivery w hen the regula-
tor is under pressure but not used, w hile the
" DIVE " position is recommended during the
dive.
W arning! M ove the lever to "PRE-DIVE " only
w hen the regulator is not used, and rotate it
to " DIVE " be f ore dive start.

aphragms are made o f medical grade silicone,
w hile nitrile rubber O-rings are o f diff erent
hardness (Shore) as a f unction o f their appli-
cations. Chrome-plated brass and stainless
steel internal components. Black anallergic
silicone mouthpiece.
The nut placed on the hose end w as especial-
ly designed w ith slightly marked lines f or cos-
metic purposes, so as to give the Diamond
regulator a pro f essional and captivating look.
The hose is o f the standard type (770 mm
length and 3/8 " thread).
