Mount U-bolts and metal plate.
Mounting the U-bolts, which in turn are used to attach the sensor package to a
pole, requires the installation of a metal plate supplied to hold the U-bolt ends.
The metal plate visible in Figure 3 has four holes through which the ends of the
two U-bolts fit. The plate itself is inserted into a groove on the underside of the
unit (opposite side of the solar module). Note that one side of the panel has a
straight edge (which goes into the groove), the other side is bent at a 90 degree
angle and has a curved profile (which "hugs" the fixing rod at the end). After
inserting the metal plate, put both U-bolts through the respective holes in the
metal plate as shown in figure 3.
Loosely screw on the nuts at the ends of the U-bolts. You will tighten these
later during final assembly. The final assembly is shown in figure 4.
