the device for an extended period. This way,
you can avoid damages attributed to leaking.
• If the batteries have leaked, avoid contact of
the skin, eyes and mucous membranes with
the battery acid. In the event of contact with
the battery acid, rinse the affected areas in-
stantly with plenty of clean water and imme-
diately consult a physician.
• Immediately remove any leaking batteries
from the battery compartment. Clean the
contacts before you insert new batteries.
• The batteries may not be charged or reacti-
vated with other means and they may not be
disassembled, thrown in a fi re, submerged in
a liquid or short-circuited.
Handling the device properly
• Check the device for damages prior to each
use. If the device or the adapters exhibit vis-
ible damages, the device may not be used.
• Never attempt to repair an electrical device
yourself, rather contact customer service
centre or locate a qualifi ed workshop to guar-
antee your own safety.
• Only use the device if the adapter has been
correctly mounted!
