How to connect aftercooling

Aftercooling
After cooling is used in warm geographic areas where cooling by fresh air through by-
pass-cooling is not sufficient. The cooling source can be a cold water source from a
central cooling system or a heatpump solution.
The cooling is controlled via a 0-10V output signal to a valve actuator.
The Aftercooler is controlled by the same setpoints as the built-in BYPASS-COOLING
function. I.e. aftercooling and bypass are always in operation at the same time.
The aftercooler is also used together with "cooling recovery mode" in case that the
outdoor temperature (T1) is higher than the extract temperature (T3).
Connect the aftercooler as follows: (See also wiring diagram in the appendix)
Principle
Aftercooling
Step
Action
Connect the HAC 1 as described on page 5.
1
2
Connect the control signal output J13 (terminal 0-10V and 0V) to the valve
actuator
3
Connect the 24 VAC trafo as described on the wiring diagram.
4
Connect the T2AC duct sensor to the J13 (terminal T2AC and 0V), and
place it after the aftercooling coil in the T2 supply duct, minimum 0,5 m.
away from the cooling coil.
Caution:
In case both after cooling and after heating are installed, it is important
that the cooling is sitting after the heating coil to avoid frost/condense
problems.
5
Power up the system
6
Connect a HRC 2 remote control to the ventilation unit
7
Follow the procedure in the HRC 2 Installer instruction to see and change
the setpoint for aftercooling.
