Electrical preheater is typically used to preheat the outside air in cold geographic areas
in order to keep the ventilation unit in operation all year for the pleasure of the occu-
pants and the home.
Connect the Electrical preheater as follows: (See also wiring diagram in the appendix)
Step Action
Connect the HAC 1 as described on page 5

2 Connect the control signal to the preheater at J11 (terminal 0 and 0-10V)
3 Connect power to the electrical heater direct from mains power.
4 Turn on the electrical preheater by pushing the Elec. PH switch on the HAC 1
for approx. 5 sec. until the green diode next to the switch turns on.
5 Connect a HRC 2 remote control to the ventilation unit
6 Follow the procedure in the HRC 2 Installer instruction to see and change the
set point for electrical preheater.
