1. Application

The modular extraction hood KEMPER variohood is used to exhaust contaminated air which is generated during welding and cutting in the
metal industry. Thanks to the unique stream principle it is possible to achieve a high extraction efficiency at a very low air consumption.
By connecting the exhaustion hood to extraction – and filter units, the exhausted air can be transported. In order to guarantee a high exhaustion
efficiency, please maintain the following airflow.

2. Mode of operation

Thanks to the unique flow principle, it is possible to achieve a high extraction efficiency at a very low air volume. The produced dust is drawn
through small, elongated openings on the inner edges of the extraction hood. This minimizes the loss of pressure.
The extraction hood is fully fitted out with strips to optimally capture the air and the dust incurred during welding and cutting cannot escape.
Furthermore the occurrence of sparks is reduced, thus protecting not only the staff but the entire equipment.
The length of the strips can be individually altered to suit your requirements.

3. Safety instructions

Make sure that everyone who works on the extraction and filter unit is qualified, proceeds as required by the rules and respects the health and
safety standards.
Profound knowledge is required for the installation and maintenance of the units.
Before starting to work, turn the extraction or filter unit off. In order to prevent accidents, please also proceed as explained above for even small
works on the unit.
