Safety instructions
The Virax support stands ref. 050111 and 050121 are products that may present certain
dangers. It is therefore important that you respect the following instructions in order to avoid
injury or potentially serious lesions to yourself or others. The Virax support stands ref.
050111 and 050121 are designed for professional use only and may only be used by
competent people. The rules of the art in the building and public works industry must
always be respected.

General safety instructions

Important: Virax cannot be held responsible for any accidents that occur if the product is
used in any way other than that for which it was designed.

Specific safety instructions

- The support stand 050111 is designed for quick prism attachment core drills. The
maximum drilling diameter may not exceed 160 mm.
- The support stand 050121 is designed for attachment plate core drills. The maximum
drilling diameter may not exceed 350 mm.
- When drilling above your head always use a water collector.
- Each time you use the drill, make sure that the screws are secured correctly for safe use.
- Keep your workplace clean and sufficiently lit.
- Conform to regulations concerning the electrical cable when using the core drill. The
electricity supply must not be damaged.
- Keep all other people at a distance to avoid accidents. Space necessary for completely
safe use: around 2 m
- Check that the drilling blocks are solidly attached.
- Before drilling, check that you will not come into contact with a gas, water or electricity
duct.
- Make sure that you do not drill any iron parts in a wall or floor; you may cause accidents
when using water.
- Make sure that no one is injured by the core when it springs out.
- Check that the core bit is correctly secured. Use a core bit that suits the material to be
drilled.
- Avoid any positions that are tiring for the body: make sure that your support on the floor is
solid and remain balanced at all times.
- Check that you do not drill into any materials that contain asbestos.
- Avoid placing too much pressure on the core bit.
