8.4 Adjusting the angle (Fig. 9)
Undo the two thumb screws (27).
Swing the saw table (1) to the right and tilt to the
required angle using the scale on the angle
support (a).
Re-tighten the two thumb screws (27).
Important: Always tighten the thumb screws
securely to prevent the saw table dropping
accidentally.
9. Sawing operations
After each new adjustment it is advisable to carry
out a trial cut in order to check the set
dimensions.

9.1 Cutting narrow workpieces

(width less than 120 mm) (Fig. 10)
Adjust the parallel stop (7) to the width of
workpiece you require.
Feed in the workpiece with two hands. Always
use the push stick (3) in the area of the saw
blade (4).
(A push stick is supplied with the saw!)
Always push the workpiece through to the end of
the splitter (5).
Secure long workpieces against falling off at the
end of the cut (e.g. with a roller stand etc.)
Caution! With short workpieces, use the push
stick from the beginning.
9.2 Cutting extremely narrow workpieces
(width less than 30 mm) (Fig. 11)
Adjust the parallel stop (7) to the width of
workpiece you require.
Use a push block (a) and a push stick (3) to
push the workpiece until its rear end arrives in
the splitter zone (5).
Secure long workpieces against falling off at the
end of the cut (e.g. with a roller stand etc.)
There is no push block supplied with the
saw!
9.3 Making covered cuts (Fig. 12)
The removable saw blade guard and the infinitely
adjustable cutting height from 0 to 43 mm means that
the machine can be used to produce covered cuts
and grooves.
Undo the clamping screws (21) and remove the
saw blade guard (2).
Adjust the splitter (5) to a position approx.
0.5 - 1 mm lower than the top tooth on the saw
blade.
Set the required cutting depth (8.3).
Adjust the parallel stop (7) to the required width.
Push the workpiece against the saw blade (4),
making sure that the workpiece lies firmly on the
saw table (1).
Select the cutting sequence so that the cut strip
drops off on the left-hand side of the saw blade
in order to prevent it becoming jammed between
the parallel stop (7) and the saw blade (4) (risk
of kick-back).

9.4 Bevel cuts

Always use the parallel stop (7) when cutting bevels.
Fix the saw table in the required angle position
(see 8.4).
Move the workpiece along the parallel stop (7).
In this connection see also section 9.1 or 9.2,
depending on the width of the workpiece.
9.5 Cutting with the cross fence (Fig. 13)
Place the cross fence in the runner slot between
the saw table and the table width extension.
Slacken the wing screw (51b) and set the
required angle by turning the guide bracket.
Re-tighten (51 b) the wing screw.
Slide the cross fence forward as far as the saw
blade.
Slacken the wing screw (51) and slide the fence
rail forward until the distance between the saw
blade and the fence rail is approx. 2 cm.
Re-tighten (51) the wing screw.
Slide the cross fence back again and place a
piece of wood against the fence rail (53).
Switch on the saw.
Press the piece of wood firmly against the fence
rail (53) and slide the cross fence toward the
saw blade to make the cut.
When you have completed the cut, switch off the
saw again.
9.6 45°-cuts on small workpieces (Fig. 14)
You must always use the parallel stop (7) and the
angle stop (14) when making 45° cuts.
Mount the angle stop (14) on the parallel stop
(7).
Adjust the parallel stop (7) to the required length
of the workpiece and clamp securely.
Insert the workpiece in the angle stop (14).
Switch on the saw and slide the angle stop (14)
along the parallel stop (7) against the saw blade
(4).
Switch off the saw when the cut is completed.
10. Maintenance
Remove dust and dirt regularly from the
machine. Cleaning is best done with
compressed air or a rag.
Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
