When removing the filtering escape device, take all necessary precautions to avoid inhaling the
dust or contaminant retained on the external surface of the filtering escape device.
The EVAMASQUE half mask must only be used with the HONEYWELL filter ABEK reference
1728571.
Cleaning instructions on non-opened EVAMASQUE:
Clean the apparatus with damp soapy chiffon (do not put the EVAMASQUE under running water).
Carefully dry the device before putting it back to storage.
Disposal
Respiratory filters should be disposed of as hazardous waste corresponding to your local hazardous waste
disposal regulations.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Maintenance may only be carried out by Honeywell authorized and trained personnel or organizations.
The filtering escape device must undergo maintenance as described below every four years, or if opened by
mistake, or opened for an escape:
Remove the used filter.
Disinfect the mask using disinfecting wipes reference 1726602
Rinse with clean water and carefully dry the mask (do not exceed a temperature of 50°C when cleaning
and drying the mask).
Take the replacement filter from its factory package and attach it to the filtering escape device.
Place the new elastic strap (delivered with each new filter) around the filter
Pack the filtering escape device in the protective shell:
Close the protective shell and secure it with adhesive tape (reference 1728821) and a seal label
(supplied with each new filter).
Check that the seal is correctly applied and is undamaged.
After replacement of the filter, the useful life of the escape filter apparatus is extended to the date
shown on the new filter (the total operational lifetime of the filtering escape device must not exceed
12 years).
Note the expiry date of the filter and the dates of manufacture are indicated on all plastic and rubber
parts.
If the upper part of the device shell is heavily scratched or damaged by chemical exposure,it must be replaced.
