Attaching
Accessories
Equipment (D1,D2,D3)
Never press the lock button if the equipment is in op-
eration. All tools must be inserted in the clamp head as
deep as possible. Attachments extending beyond the
clamp bushing may cause vibrations.
1. Press and hold the lock button and turn the locknut
of the clamp housing until the locknut clicks.
2. Hold the lock button pressed and release the lock-
nut by several turnings. Use a wrench if manual re-
lease is not possible.
3. Insert the accessories into the clamp head as deep
as possible.
When the locknut is loosened, the clamp bushing may
be exchanged for accessories with different attach-
ments.
4. Press and hold the lock button and tighten the lock-
nut.
General Work Recommendations
The accessories may break at high speed and pres-
sure. Therefore, apply only low pressure on the tool.
This will ease your work and also prevent wear and
damages of your power tool and the edges. Use only
clean and sharp accessories. Plastics must be pro-
cessed at low speed since they tend to melt during

the
processing. If vibrations occur, increase the speed.
When working with grinding and polishing tools, use
the settings for low speed. If the tool speed decreases
during processing, it means that most probably you
apply too much pressure on it. Dirty or blunt tools
decrease the effi ciency. Clean the attachment if you
notice that you must exert too much pressure on the
power tool.
Checking and replacing carbon brushes
Carbons should be checked regularly.
Remove the carbon brush holders (4) and clean the
carbon brushes.
In case of wear replace both carbons at the same time.
Attach the carbon brush holders (4).
After attaching the new carbons, let the machine run
for 5 minutes with no load.
! Use only carbons of the correct type.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
! Before cleaning and maintenance, always disconnect
the supply cable from the mains.
Your power tool does not require any additional lubri-
cation or maintenance. No parts that you may repair
are present.
Never use water or chemical agents to clean your
power tool. Wipe it with a dry cloth.
Keep the motor cooling vents clean.
If you notice slight sparkling in the motor area, your
power tool is sound. If the sparkling intensity increas-
es, a motor malfunction is concerned.
Never clean any part of the power tool by a hard, sharp
or rough object.
Store the power tool if not used for a longer period.
Do not store the power tool in places with high tem-
peratures. If possible, store the power tool in a place
with a constant temperature and humidity.
