01. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
Dear Customer:
Thank you for purchasing this ELMA branded pro-
duct.
We hope that it will satisfy you for a long period
of time.
Please, read this instruction manual carefully
before plugging the appliance and keep it for
future reference. Failure to observe and comply
with these instructions may result in a accident.
Before its first use, clean all parts of the pro-
duct that may be in contact with food, procee-
ding as indicated in the cleaning section.
• This appliance is exclusively for household use
and not for industrial use. It is dangerous to use
it for any other purpose than the indicated one.
• Children must be supervised to ensure they do
not play with the appliance.
• Keep it away from children.
• This appliance is not to be used by persons (or
children) whose physical, sensory or mental capa-
cities are impaired, or who have no experience
or knowledge, unless supervised or instructed in
the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Do not make any modifications or repairs to
the appliance. In the event of any anomaly in the
cord or any other part of the appliance, do not
use it and take it to an authorised service centre.
• Do not use any parts or accessories not supplied
or recommended by ELMA.
• Before plugging the appliance into the mains,
check that the indicated voltage is the same as in
your home.
• Always unplug the appliance after use and be-
fore assembling or removing parts, or performing
any maintenance or cleaning operations. Also un-
plug it in the case of a power cut. The appliance
must be switched off before plugging it into or
unplugging it from the mains.
• Do not use the cord to hang up the appliance.
Always unplug the appliance by pulling on the
plug, and not the cord.
• Make sure the cord does not come into contact
with sharp edges or hot surfaces. Do not leave
the cord hanging over the edge of a table or
worktop, to prevent children from pulling it and
causing the appliance to fall.
• Never handle the appliance with wet hands.
• Do not leave the appliance plugged into the
mains unattended.
• Keep hair, clothing, fingers or any other part of
the body away from the mincer head inlet mouth.
• Select a location to install the machine. It is
recommended to place the mincing machine on
a rigid and horizontal surface in order to avoid
oscillations and vibrations during operation. The
machine must be installed in a location away
from moisture and heat sources as well as areas
with inflammable material.

Clean the head with water and detergent
suitable for domestic use. Thoroughly dry before
use. Do not introduce it into the dishwasher.
• Use the machine in dry places and not
outdoor.
• Do not immerse the gear motor in water or
any other liquids as there is a danger of death
by electric shock.
• Never put the hands in the openings of the
machine. Do not insert any object inside it, except
the plunger and foods, as there is a high risk of
accidents.
• Never use the machine for purposes other than
those described here.
There is a considerable risk of accidents if the
machine's safety mechanisms are deactivated du-
ring use. ELMA is not responsible for improper
use of the machine.
