2.2 Do not have the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack operated by children or uninformed persons.
2.3 Any installation, assembly or use under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other narcotics is
prohibited;
2.4 Lights: The user must check that his number plate, lights and reflectors are clear and visible before
departure. The working of the lights must be checked. An extra number plate may be required and
must be fitted by the user in the correct place.
THE VAN 'N BIKE BIKE CARRIER RACK IS PROVIDED WITH LIGHTS. IF THE VAN 'N BIKE BIKE
CARRIER RACK IS UNLOADED, THE PLUG OF THE VAN 'N BIKE BIKE CARRIER RACK MUST BE INSERTED
IN THE FEMALE PLUG SO THE LIGHTS ON THE BIKE CARRIER RACK WORK NORMALLY. WHEN FITTING
A BIKE CARRIER or equivalent (*) ON THE BIKE CARRIER RACK, THE PLUG FOR THE VAN 'N BIKE LIGHTS
MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE FEMALE PLUG AND REPLACED BY THE PLUG OF THE BIKE CARRIER or
equivalent (*), SO THE BUILT-IN LIGHTS OF THE BIKE CARRIER or equivalent (*) WORK NORMALLY (also
see point 5. "fitting and removing a bike carrier").
(*) equivalent such as luggage boxes or loading platforms that have been approved for attachment with a ball
coupling and have their own built-in rear lights
2.5 Loading: No persons, animals or other unsuitable objects may be transported on the Van 'n Bike

THE BIKE CARRIER RACK IS ONLY INTENDED TO TRANSPORT BIKE CARRIERS or equivalent (*) THAT
HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR CONNECTION WITH A BALL COUPLING AND WITH THE PERMITTED LOAD.
FOR CORRECT USE OF THESE BIKE CARRIERS or equivalent (*) YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
OF THE RELATIVE MANUFACTURER.
Regularly check the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack to be certain that it is soundly fixed and closed,
certainly after the first 10 km. Check that the load is secure and nothing has shifted. The driver of the
vehicle is fully responsible for the bike carrier rack and accessories being in perfect condition, and that
the assembled load is firmly attached (even if it has been attached by a third party). If the user notices
an unusual noise, movement of the load and/or carrier, different vehicle behaviour or other
irregularities, stop and check whether the load is correctly attached according to the instructions.
All parts that are easy to remove from bikes must be removed before transport, including but not
limited to child's seats, baskets, batteries, bicycle pumps (if not permanently assembled). These parts
can become loose during transport because of the higher aerodynamic resistance and vibrations and
can be a hazard to other road users.
2.6 The maximum carrying capacity: 80 kg for the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack that may not be
exceeded. Any exceeding of the maximum permitted nose weight or exceeding the gross weight can
cause serious accidents. The ball coupling on the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack has a maximum
permitted nose weight of 80 kg and a towing capacity of 0 kg.
Strictly keep to the legal requirements relating to the maximum load and permitted gross weight of
your motor vehicle. Do not exceed these requirements.
NEVER EXCEED THE 80 KG MAXIMUM LOADING WEIGHT OF THE BIKE CARRIER RACK.
