The following hints will enable a technician to do an initial diagnostic or help in case
of incorrect or non-reproducible weighing results after commissioning and calibration.
Possible fault
Are all hoses, pipes and cables free of force shunts?
Are the connections flexible and coupled horizontally?
Are devices which are rigidly connected to the weighing system in direct contact
with the surrounding installation?
Is there friction between the weighing object and its surrounding (e.g. dirty
apertures,
)?
Has moisture penetrated into the interior?
Do all solder or screw connections provide safe contact?
Is the sheath damaged?
Has moisture penetrated into the interior?
Is there a contact between the lift-off protection and the scale itself?
Are the constrainers stuck?
Does the load cell stand vertically?
Is the measuring chamber cover damaged?
Is the sheath of the load cell cable damaged?
Has moisture penetrated the load cell cable?
-
Unload load cell.
-
Disconnect the load cell measuring outputs.
-
Check whether the output voltage without load is within the limits.
