6.3.2 Adjusting the number
of the DMX channels
To be able to operate the PARL-40DMX with a light
controller, the DMX start address (
6.3.3) and the number of the DMX channels have
to be adjusted. The number of the DMX channels
depends on the functions required and possibly on
the number of the control channels available at the
light controller. Please see fig. 4 about the functions
which are possible in each case and select the
number accordingly:
1) Press the button MENU repeatedly until the
indication on the display does not change any
more. The display now shows the operating
mode (
fig. 1 on the very left).
2) Press the button
play shows
.
3) Press the button ENTER. The display shows the
present adjustment:
= 3 channels,
4) Adjust the number with the button

6.3.3 Adjusting the DMX start address

To be able to operate all DMX units separately
which are connected to the light controller, each
unit must have its own start address. To control the
first DMX channel of the PARL-40DMX by the light
controller e. g. via the DMX address 17, adjust the
start address 17 on the PARL-40DMX. All further
DMX channels of the PARL-40DMX are then auto-
matically assigned to the addresses following it.
Example when using the start address 17:
