Comply with the operating instructions of the motor (some three-
phase motors have their safety instructions contained with the
terminal box).
Protect commutator motors without no-volt release, three-phase
motors and compressed-air motors against accidental starting.
Do not grip three-phase motor on ventilator cap for carrying.
Only qualified electricians may carry out changes to the mains
connection (e.g. installation of an ex-protected round plug).
Never store the motor in areas in which corrosive vapours exist.
Only start the motor when the pump is in the liquid.
Check the mains connection cable for damage before every use.
Make sure that the pump is fixed securely.
For transportable use, use a safe explosion-protected carrying aid.
Regularly control smooth operation of the ball bearings and drive
shaft by qualified personnel.
Always supervise the pump.
Regularly check coupling and driver for wear by qualified personnel.
Only take off the motor from the pump or put it on the pump when
the motor shaft stands still.
When using three-phase motors check direction of rotation of the
motor.
In case of portable use, check the direction of rotation again
(direction of rotation according to the arrow on the bearing flange).
Follow internal instructions (explosion protection document).
