9.4 Outdoor air connection

It is possible to provide the appliance with an outdoor air connection. This outdoor air connection is optional and
can be provided as an external kit. This kit can be used for a connection at the bottom of the appliance and is
available via your supplier.
Assemble the outdoor air connection before placing the appliance, in the case of an appliance with a base, this

will no longer be possible after installation!
If you order a cover plate for the outdoor air connection, you must take these dimensions into account. For the

assembly of these accessories we would like to refer you to the manual(s) concerned.
When disassembling the outdoor air connection, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 6):
Ø
Disassemble the assembly bracket by unscrewing the 4 bolts.
Ø
Remove the handle at the bottom of the appliance by unscrewing the 2 screws and removing them.
Ø
Remove the 4 screws at the bottom of the appliance.
Ø
Place the tray with the mounted 'pipe mouth' against the bottom of the appliance.
Ø
Re-use the 4 screws to mount the tray.
Ø
Place the handle back and fasten it with the 2 screws.
Ø
Mount the assembly bracket by screwing back the 4 bolts.
Ø
Connect the flexible hose (Ø 80 mm) to the round 'pipe mouth' of the outdoor air connection.

If you want to disassemble the outdoor air connection, you should perform the above-mentioned steps in reverse
order.

9.5 Door(s)

During installation or maintenance, check that the door(s) close(s).
Follow the procedure described below:
Ø
Check the seal of the door(s) by placing a sheet of paper between the door(s) and the fire. After closing the
door(s), it should not be easy to pull out the sheet of paper.
Check the door(s) all around.
If there is no good seal of the doors:
Ø
Replace the door seal (see section 9.4.1).
Ø
Adjust the door(s) (see section 9.4.2).

9.5.1 Replacing the door seal

For replacing the door seal, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 7):
Ø
Open the door.
Ø
Slide the door upwards and lift it out.
Ø
Place the door on a flat surface.
Ø
Remove the cord.
Ø
Remove excess sealant residues from the gutter of the door seal.
Ø
Use heat-resistant sealant to apply a new layer of sealant in the gutter.
Ø
Place the new cord.
Ø
Tape both ends of the cord together with heat-resistant tape and slide a heat-resistant sleeve over the tape.
The cord, sleeve and tape are available from your supplier.
Make sure that the ends of the cord are placed on the hinged side.

Ø
Hang in the door.

9.5.2 Adjusting the door(s)

During installation or maintenance, check that the door(s) close(s). If necessary, adjust the door(s).
This is the case, if the seal is insufficient (cracks).
Ø
Check the seal of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door, it
should not be easy to pull out the sheet of paper. Check the door all around and repeat these steps if there is a
second door.
