other chapters! In case of doubt, observe the instructions in chapter 9, or contact your supplier.
The appliance-specific information as described in sections 9.1 to 9.5, applies to all models described in this

Ø
Unscrew the 4 screws from the transport bracket on the pallet and remove the pallet.

9.2 Smoke control area United Kingdom

The DG fire Odin Front has been recommended as suitable for use in smoke control areas when burning wood.

9.3 Air slide, restrictor tray and flue exhaust

9.3.1 Air slide

When installing and maintaining the appliance, check the operation of the air slide (see appendix 2, fig. 4).
It is possible that steel grit ended up in the air slide during transportation. If the air slide does not run smoothly, it
has to be cleaned. For this, the air slide should be disassembled.
When disassembling the air slide, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 4):
If an outdoor air connection has been mounted, it should first be removed, before the air slide can be
!Caution
disassembled (for removing the outdoor air connection: see section 9.3).
Ø
Remove the vermiculite plates from the bottom (see section 9.6).
Ø
Remove the assembly bracket by unscrewing the 4 bolts
Ø
Then remove the square plate that lies in a recess under the vermiculite bottom plates.
Ø
Loosen the Allen screw with the Allen wrench.
As soon as the bolt is loosened, the air slide will drop down. Catch the air slide!
!Caution
Ø
Check the air slide and clean it if necessary.
When placing back the air slide, the actions described for disassembling it must be observed in reverse order.

9.3.2 Restrictor tray

The appliance can be provided with a restrictor tray. This can be used to reduce the draft in the channel. At
delivery, the restrictor tray is located in the fireplace. In case of a duct with a draft that is (too) strong, the restrictor
tray must be installed.
When installing the restrictor tray, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 5):
Ø
Remove the flame baffle plate (see section 9.6);
Ø
Unscrew the nuts of the flue gas mouth.
The Odin Front/Tunnel, Fixed is suspended from a pipe. Support the appliance with a lift table or a scissor jack.
!Caution
Ø
Place the restrictor tray.
During placement, always make sure that the partitions of the restrictor tray are pointing down.
!Caution
Ø
Fasten the restrictor tray with the three bolts/nuts of the discharge pipe or ring.
Ø
Place back the flame baffle plate.

9.3.3 Flue exhaust

The flue exhaust at the Odin has a connection with a 150 mm diameter. The flue exhaust can be connected to the
conical exhaust ring in two ways: dewatering and non-dewatering.
Here, you will have to use the correct connection pieces.
In case of a dewatering connection, other connection pieces are used than in the case of a non-dewatering
!Caution
connection.
The required connection pieces are available via your supplier.
The above-mentioned instructions do not apply to the Odin Front/Tunnel, Fixed. In this type the flue exhaust pipe
!Caution
is a fixed component of the appliance (see section 9.6).
