Image Tube adaptations are quite varied as different microscope
manufacturers offer different types of adapters. One such
configuration is shown in the far right of Figure 4.
Typically you will use one of the threaded joint adapters which
will thread into the digital camera – Figure 5a. Then, you will use

Before looking at slide specimens or objects you must remove
the protective cover over the LCD screen, turn the LCD on,
turn on the proper illuminator of your microscope, focus as you
normally do, and understand how to use the LCD Monitor with
Digital Camera.

1. Plug the small cable from the AC adapter into the socket
on the side of the LCD Monitor (bottom of Figure 6) labeled
12V DC.
2. Insert the plug end of the AC adapter into the proper power
source.
Note: The AC Adapter supplied with this microscope has
an interchangeable plug system that can work in the USA,
UK, Europe, Australia, and many other parts of the world.
The plug for the USA will be installed in the AC Adapter.
You can easily change plugs for your particular requirement
by doing the following:
A. Pull the plug up and away while holding the base of the
AC adapter and the plug will come off.

adapters from the particular microscope manufacturer that will be
made for your microscope. Some manufacturers use simple tube
adapters with built-in lenses and others use complex and several
different tubes, etc.

All functions of your microscope are operated the same as you
always have done with the only difference being that you will
be using the LCD monitor with its attached digital camera for
viewing and imaging. The digital camera replaces the eyepiece(s)
with a 10x magnification itself and the power of the microscope is
then determined by the objective lens chosen times 10.

B. Take the plug style that you want to use and align the
two holes in the bottom of the plug with the two pins in
the AC adapter (Figure 7). Then, push the plug into the
AC adapter all the way and youare finished.
Prior to viewing specimens or objects with your microscope,
you need to turn the LCD Monitor on by pushing the Power On
key (Figure 3). Push the button and shortly the Monitor On LED
(green color) will come on indicating the LCD Monitor is "On".
That is all you need to do to use the LCD screen for viewing. The
various keys on the LCD Monitor are mainly for taking images
(snapshots and video) and will be discussed later in this manual.
