Only turn on the pump when it is in the liquid. Never operate the
pump dry.
We recommend the installation of a device to protect the pump
against dry running such as a flow control, contact manometer,
differential pressure switch, level control or similar appropriate
devices.
Avoid the operation at closed suction side.
Only use the pump for its intended purpose.
Never leave the pump unattended.
The operating position of the pump is vertical with the motor shaft
down or horizontal.
Install the pump in a way which ensures that it cannot fall into the
container.
Only use the pump with a suitable hose.
The pump should not be exposed to the weather.
The pump should not be immersed deeper into the liquid than the
outlet connection.
Clean pump after each operation.
We recommend providing the power supply with fault current
breakers.
Firmly tighten the screws resp. the union nut.
Ensure that the hose is securely fixed to the hosetail.
If the hose is completely emptied, the air compressed in the
hose can cause a loud bang when suddenly released.
Check connections for tightness.
Comply with the operating instructions of the motor (some three-
phase motors have their safety instructions contained with the
terminal box).
Protect commutator motors without no-volt release, three-phase
motors and compressed-air motors against accidental starting.
Do not grip three-phase motor on ventilator cap for carrying.
Changes to the mains connection (e.g. installation of an
ex-protected round plug) may only be carried out by qualified
electricians.
Never store the motor in areas in which corrosive vapours exist.
Only start the motor when the pump is in the liquid.
