The control valve of the softener is equipped with a system for the regulation of water hardness. With a screwdriver,
you can adjust the regulating screw that you can see on the above picture, as a to blend the outgoing softened water (which
fl ows at 0°F) with normal tap water.
If the screw is fully screwed, the water is at 0°F, by loosening the screw you can have harder water.
The regulation of the hardness must be assisted by a specifi c kit for water hardness measurement, that you can easily
fi nd on the market. The softener is sold with a regulation correspondent to 0°F.
DO NOT FASTEN THE REGULATING SCREW TOO TIGHT.
HOW TO ACTIVATE A "FORCED" REGENERATION
To activate a regeneration, in service mode press
On the display you will see the steps of the regeneration and their timing. To skip a step, press

The service condition will be restored at the end of the regeneration.
HOW TO MODIFY THE SOFTENER'S CYCLIC
BAV/AVT water softeners are programmed with a cyclic capacity which is calculated on a hypothetic hardness
of the incoming water at 40°F.
To modify the parameter of the cyclic capacity, follow this instructions:
From service position:
Press "menu/confi rm"
Press "down" 5 times until you reach "advanced settings"
Press then press "arrow down button" two times and on display will compare "set residual water". Press
Use this formula: for 5: (3,5 X 5000)/hardness to treat - 8: (5 X 5000)/hardness to treat - 12: (9 X 5000)/hardness to
treat - 18 (18 X 5000)/hardness to treat - 30: (30x5000)/ hardness to treat. Modify the displayed number by substitu-
ting it with the result of the formula, to do that use "up/down".
