The device 6109U-500 is to be used with a line of the
®
ABB-i-bus
• Connecting a UP-EIB unit (EIB application) to an EIB
line (e.g. UP room temperature controller – object
area 6134/10)
• 5 floating binary inputs for conventional pushbuttons
or switches for the control of bus stations on the
respective EIB line.
The physical address will be set via the 6109U-500 both
for the plugged in UP-EIB application and for device 6109U-
500. Parameters for the plugged in UP-EIB application and
other functions of the device are to be set via EIBA Tool
Software ETS 2 (Version 1.2 and higher) as an application
of the plugged in UP-EIB application.
The device has been designed for installation in a com-
mercially available flush-type mounting box using a carrier
ring. In this way UP room temperature controller 6134/10
for example can be integrated into the various ABB switch
programs.
The binary inputs of the 6109U-500 can then be used,
inter alia, for a local control of room temperature control-
ler 6134/10.
