5. On TI-Presenter, set the TV format switch to
6. Plug the power cable into a wall outlet. The Power Indicator may flash a few
times, then it will turn green.
7. Turn on the TV and select video input mode. In about 10 seconds, you will see the
TI-Presenter splash screen on your TV.
Note: You may first see the TI-Presenter busy screen.

8. Adjust the TV contrast, if necessary.
Note: Adjusting the calculator's contrast does not affect the TV's contrast.
9. Turn on the ViewScreen calculator. TI-Presenter automatically detects the type of
calculator you have connected to it. (Detection and set-up may take up to 15
seconds, during which you will see the TI-Presenter busy screen.)
Your TI-Presenter is now ready to use. On some calculators, you may have to
press M to synchronise TI-Presenter with the calculator screen.
Caution: When connected to TI-Presenter, the calculator uses power from
TI-Presenter instead of its batteries. However, if the batteries in the calculator are low
or if there are no batteries in the calculator, you may lose all the data stored in RAM
when you disconnect the calculator from TI-Presenter.
Automatic Power Downé
Approximately 5 minutes after the calculator goes into Automatic Power Downé
(APDé) mode or is disconnected from TI-Presenter, TI-Presenter goes into APD
mode also. To exit the APD mode in both devices, connect the calculator to
TI-Presenter and press the calculator's  key. On some calculators, you may have to
press , to synchronise TI-Presenter with the calculator screen.
