Installation

Mounting

WARNING! Electric shock!
Upon opening the housing, live parts are exposed!
Î Always disconnect the device from power supply be-
fore opening the housing!
Note
Î The device is suited for stationary mounting only. Pay attention to
strain relief when routing the cables.
T
he unit must only be located in dry interior rooms. It is not suitable for installa-
tion in hazardous locations and should be protected against electromagnetic fields.
If the device is not equipped with a mains connection cable and a plug, the device
must additionally be supplied from a double pole switch with contact gap of at
least 3 mm.
Please pay attention to separate routing of sensor cables and mains cables.
In order to mount the device to the wall, carry out the following steps:
1.
Determine the mounting site and mark the holes through the fastening points.
2.
Drill holes and insert the wall plugs.
3.
Fasten the housing.
4.
Unscrew both screws.
5.
Remove the upper part of the housing.
6.
Carry out the electrical connection.
7.
Attach the upper part to the housing and tigthen both screws.

ATTENTION! ESD damage!
Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged!
Connecting the device to the power supply must always be the last step of the
installation!
The device is supplied with power via a mains cable. The supply voltage must be
230 V~ (50 Hz).
Connect the signal cable from the controller to the low voltage input of the device:
R In N max. 240 V = neutral conductor N from the controller
R In L max. 240 V = 230 V control signal from the controller (conductor L)

Electrical connection

Upon opening the housing, live parts are exposed!
Î Always disconnect the device from power supply
before opening the housing!
Electrostatic discharge can lead to damage to electronic com-
ponents!
Î Take care to discharge properly before touching
the inside of the device!
Note:
Strong electromagnetic fields can impair the function of the device.
Î Make sure the device as well as the system are not exposed to strong
electromagnetic fields.
Note:
It must be possible to disconnect the device from the mains at any time.
Î Install the mains plug so that it is accessible at any time.
Î If this is not possible, install a switch that can be accessed.
If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a special connection
cable which is available from the manufacturer or its customer service.
