damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this product
Before Use
WARNING: Always disconnect this tool from the power supply before attaching or removing
accessories, or making any adjustments.
Attaching the Guard
• The Guard (6) needs to be attached to the Adjustable Fence (5) prior to use:
1. Set the Adjustable Fence to the 90° position (see 'Adjusting the Fence angle')
2. Slide the Guard onto the Fence, ensuring the slots on the Guard clips align with the Fence
locating tabs
3. Check the Guard is securely fitted
Note: The face has two locating tabs which align the guard into the correct position.
Dust extraction
• For the best possible dust extraction, this tool should be connected to a vacuum cleaner or a
workshop dust extraction system via its Dust Extraction Port (9)
• If both are unavailable, the supplied Dust Collection Bag (10) needs to be fitted to the tool

when it is half full.

Operation
WARNING: ALWAYS wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection
when working with this tool.
Adjusting the cutting depth
WARNING: Failure to correctly adjust the plunging depth could cause damage to the
tool and workpiece.
1. Rotate the Plunge Depth Selector (14), to set the required cutting depth
Note: Check the accuracy of the Depth Selector by carrying out a test cut on a scrap piece of material
(see 'Making a cut). Recalibrate if necessary (see 'Calibrating the plunge depth')
Adjusting the Fence angle
1. Loosen the Angle Locking Knob (8)
2. Adjust the Fence (5) to the required angle indicated on the Angle Scale (7)
3. Tighten the Angle Locking Knob
Note: Check the accuracy of the Angle Scale by carrying out a test cut on a scrap piece of material
(see 'Making a cut). Recalibrate if necessary (see 'Calibrating the Angle Scale')
Adjusting the cutting height
Note: As the slot for the biscuit dowel must always be aligned centrally to the thickness of the
work piece, the cutting height must be adjusted to half the thickness of the material.
1. Rotate the Height Adjustment Lock (12) anticlockwise to unlock
2. The cutting height is indicated on the Height Scale (13)
3. Rotate the Height Adjustment Knob (11) clockwise to increase the cutting height
4. Rotate the Height Adjustment Knob anticlockwise to decrease the cutting height
5. Once the required height is selected tighten the Height Adjustment Lock
Note: Check the accuracy of the Height Scale by carrying out a test cut on a scrap piece of
material (see 'Making a cut). Recalibrate if necessary (see 'Calibrating the Height Scale')
Marking the workpiece
• Before making a cut clearly mark the workpieces to indicate the cutting position:
1. Place the two workpieces that you wish to connect on top of each other, and use a clamp to
secure them together
2. Clearly mark the centre point of the slot
Note: If multiple slots are required, determine their spacing. Slots should be spaced
100-150mm apart
Positioning the tool
• Align the midpoint mark on the Adjustable Fence (5) with the markings on the workpiece
Switching ON & OFF
WARNING: ALWAYS wear adequate personal protection equipment when setting up and
operating this tool.
WARNING: NEVER switch the tool ON or OFF when the blade is still in contact with the
