Installing and adjusting the newt steps
The newt steps are a climbing aid for small animals who have been caught in the skimmer.
How to proceed:
5 G
1. Remove the skimmer lid.
– The small lid closes off the escape.
2. Move the newt steps to the desired position.
Installing accessories
The following extensions are optional accessories and are not part of the scope of delivery:
· Skimmer extension (70927): Extends the skimmer inlet length.
· Wide mouth extension (70928): Extends the skimmer inlet width to increase the possible intake volume.
· Height extension (70926): Increases the skimmer height with a neck and collar.
Only either the skimmer extension or the wide mouth extension can be installed.
Skimmer extension
The skimmer extension is only suitable for installation in a concrete wall. It is installed between the concrete wall and
skimmer. The cover supplied with the skimmer is fastened on the skimmer extension.
· Max. one skimmer extension can be installed.
How to proceed:

1. Position the seal between the skimmer extension and the skimmer. Use the Torx screws to firmly connect the skim-
mer extension and the skimmer.
– Tightening torque: 2 Nm.
2. Fasten the skimmer extension on the concrete wall following the instructions for skimmer installation.

Wide mouth extension
The wide mouth extension is only suitable for installation in a concrete wall. The cover supplied with the wide mouth
extension is fastened on the wide mouth extension.
How to proceed:

1. Position the seal between the wide mouth extension and the skimmer. Use the Torx screws to firmly connect the
wide mouth extension and the skimmer.
– Tightening torque: 2 Nm.
2. Fasten the wide mouth extension and the associated parts on the concrete wall
following the instructions for skimmer installation. (→ Installing the skimmer on the concrete wall)
