2.2 BOWL high pivoted

• Please notice and observe the following images and instructions
whenever you want to use BOWL in pivoted position.
• It is obligatory to wear fireproof gloves whenever you want to
bring BOWL from a pivoted into a horizontal position and the
fire is already burning.

Position the pivoted hemisphere on the
tripod in such way that two standing legs are
in front and one standing leg is behind the
unit.
Please make sure that the rear standing
leg does not penetrate the hole of the
hemisphere.

2.3 Lighting and fireing

• Build a pyramid from small woodpieces.
• Place the grill lighters in the middle of the pyramid and light
them. (Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3!)
• If the small pieces of wood are well burnt, larger pieces of
wood can be piled up.
• Only place the pieces of wood in the firebowl. Please pay
attention that the pieces of wood do not overhang the exterior
bowl. The pieces of wood may not touch the basket.
Always wear fire-proof gloves (e.g. BBQ gloves) when
piling up wood or adding combustibles.
Wear respective clothing. Long, loose sleeves quickly
catch fire!
CAUTION! The maximum capacity of charcoal or wood
is 3 kg.
Always pay attention that the fire does not become too
high. Never leave open fire and embers unattended.

2.4 Extinguishing

• We recommend to completely let burn down BOWL.
• It takes some time to have BOWL completely extinguished
and cooled off. ATTENTION! Do not transport BOWL as long
as the exterior bowl and fire bowl resp. the firing goods are
still hot. Leave BOWL outside at a well ventilated place until
everything is completely extinguished.
• Never extinguish BOWL with water and never pour water
over the hot elements in order to cool down BOWL. This
leads to tensions in the enamelling which could flake as a
consequence.
IMPORTANT! Supervise the fire bowl until it has cooled
off completely. Children and pets should never stay
unattended near the hot or still warm fire bowl.

3. Grilling with BOWL

Always wear fire-proof gloves (e.g. BBQ gloves) when
grilling with BOWL.
Wear respective clothing. Long, loose sleeves quickly
catch fire!
• In order to use BOWL also as a grill, we have the suitable
accessories on offer.
• Grilling is not possible in pivoted position. Both the
hemisphere and the fire bowl have to be in horizontal
position.
• Cooking grid and cast plate are not included in delivery.

3.1 Cooking grid

• By means of the two-piece cooking grid, BOWL can moreover
be used as a grill.
• The two pieces position themselves autonomously due to
the two rods in BOWL.
• Grilling is not possible in pivoted position. Both the
hemisphere and the fire bowl have to be in horizontal
position – however, it is obligatory to wear fireproof gloves
or to use the höfats barbecue tong with grid lifting function.
Always wear fire-proof gloves (e.g. BBQ gloves) when
grilling with BOWL.
Wear respective clothing. Long, loose sleeves quickly
catch fire!

3.2 Cast plancha

• The massive, enamelled cast iron plancha turns BOWL into
a plancha grill. Plancha is „grilling like the Spanish do",
i.e. roasting on a hot surface. The cast iron plancha enables
grilling directly over the open fire without fat dripping into the
embers or the fire, thus guaranteeing healthy grilling.
• Due to its geometry, the plate positions itself autonomously in
the fire bowl.
• You can also use two plates in order to obtain a complete
grilling ring.
• The hole in the bottom of the exterior bowl provides for
sufficient air supply. Through the hole in the middle of the cast
plates, wood or coal can be added.
