PROBLEM
Heat does not come on when the
valve is turned on.
Pilot burner will not lit.
Pilot burner will not stay lit.
Fat appears to smoke excessively.
Food sticks to grates.
Food is undercooked inside.
Food tastes greasy or has an
objectionable off-flavour.
PLACE LAVA ROCK WITH AIR SPACES BETWEEN THE ROCKS. DO NOT OVERLOAD ROCK GRATES.
Please use following amount of lava rock per model:
T-CBL15 : 30pcs
T-CBL24 : 60pcs
T-CBL36 : 90pcs
T-CBL48 : 120pcs
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Pilot burner not lit.
Gas valve is bad.
Obstructed pilot orifice.
Pilot valve turned off.
Obstructed pilot orifice.
Gas supply is not purged of air.
Air is blowing pilot's light out.
Heat is set too high.
Moisture in the food may be turning into steam.
Heat is set too high.
Char broiler's surface needs cleaning and/or seasoning.
Surface under food may not have been covered with enough
cooking oil.
Heat is set too high.
Food may not have been cooked long enough.
Food itself may have an off flavour.
Food may have been stored improperly before cooking.
Too much fat used.
Heat is set too low.
