FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Remove the spare tire. Important! With a mounted towbar, one should
not put the jack back on the spare tire, but instead, store it securely ins-
ide the vehicle.
2. Put the left-hand fixing arm (B) in place, and position it over the top side
of the bumper attachment and then over the exhaust pipe (see fig. 1 and
2). At points (D), place two screws M10x90, spacers (Ø15x12 L=52mm),
back plates (40x5 L=40mm), spring washers and nuts M10. Tighten
these connectors hand-tight.
3. Position the right-hand fixing arm (C), and attach it at points (E) using
two screws M10x90, spacers (Ø15x12 L=52mm), back plates (40x5
L=40mm), spring washers and nuts M10. Tighten these connectors
hand-tight.
4. Place the cross member against the back panel as indicated in fig. 3,
and attach it at points (A) using two screws M8x30, flat washers
(Ø28x9x3), spring washers and nuts M8.
5. At points (F), attach the two fixing arms with four screws M10x40 hand-
tight, double flat washers, spring washers and nuts M10.
6. Fasten the ballplates (G) and (H), the fillingplate (I), the socketplate (J)
using one screw M12x70 and one screw M12x65, flat washers and self-
locking nuts M12. Tighten these connectors hand-tight.

7. Fasten the flange ball (K) with two screws M16x50, flat washers, spring
washers and nuts M16. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque indica-
ted in the table and replace the spare tire.
NOTE:
* Should this installation process entail the cutting of the bumper – con-
formation MUST be obtained by the installation engineer of the custo-
mer's acceptance prior to completion. Brink Towing Systems do not
accept responsibility for any matters arising as a result of this miscom-
munication.
* All measurements are in mm!
* The dealer should be consulted for possible necessary adjustment(s)
"of the vehicle".
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* Do not drill through electrical-, brake- or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
* This fitting instruction has to be enclosed in the vehicle documents after
fitting the towbar.
* Brink is not liable for damage caused directly or indirectly by incorrect
assembly, including the use of unsuitable tools, the use of other
assembly methods and means than the ones outlined, and the incor-
rect interpretation of these assembly instructions.
