Air expelled by the machine should not be drawn back into the machine, even partially, therefore the machine should
not be in- stalled in a location confined by walls, even if the minimum clearance distances are respected.
The heat pump should not be directly exposed to prevailing winds.
The heat pumps should be installed less than 10 m from the pool in order to limit heat loss from the pipes.
easy access to the machine to facilitate maintenance that may require transportation of heavy machinery.
Water should not be allowed to gather at the base of the machine, precipitation and condensates produced while the
machine is running should be drained correctly (NB: the flow of condensates from the bottom of the heat pump is a
sign that ti is working cor- rectly, not a sign that there is a leak in the heat transfer fluid circuit.)
Installation guide
The heat pump should be installed by a qualified professional. End users should not install the heat pumps at the risk
of damage to the equipment or injury to themselves.
1.
The heat pump should be installed outdoors, in a well ventilated location, at a distance from the water. that
complies with the standards in effect in the country of installation.
2.
The cabinet should be fixed solidly to a concrete slab or a support using M10 screws and bushings. The
support must be able to withstand the weight of the heat pump.
3.
Ensure that air can circulate freely around the inlets and outlets of the heat pump (see the Siting paragraph
page 24) so that operation of the pump is not impeded or even stopped.
4.
The heat pump needs an additional pump to drive circulation of the pool water (pool filtration pump or other
if necessary). See the Technical Data for the recommended flow rate.
5.
The heat pump produces condensates while it runs. Condensates flow from the bottom of the machine. Clip
the drain union into the hole and connect a drain tube as shown below.

Wiring

1.
Connect the power cable to a suitable power source, voltage should correspond to the nominal voltage of
the pump.
2.
The heat pump must be properly earthed.
3.
The heat pump should only be wired in by a qualified professional referring to the wiring diagram provided. .
4.
Regulate the leakage current of the differential circuit breaker with respect to the regulations in effect in the
country of installation. (Leakage current ≤ 30mA in France).
5.
Cables should be run in an orderly fashion, they should not touch off each other.
Once wiring is complete and checked, switch the heat pump on.

Hydraulic connections

ƒ
Circulation of water through the heat pump is generally driven by the pool's filtration pump. To plumb it in, create a
bypass loop on the filtration circuit and fit it with 3 valves :
An adjustable valve, located between the outlet and return branch of the bypass loop: this valve allows
adjustment of the flow through the heat pump in order to obtain the recommended flow rate (see the selection
guide) .
A valve on the heat pump inlet pipe.
A valve on the heat pump outlet pipe.
The last two valves are usually open, they should only be closed for interventions on the hydraulic circuit or to
dismantle the heat pump.
