4.3.2. With memory
With memory function, the push button functions as follows:
- press briefly: on at previous level / off
- hold down when off: the dimmer dims up from the minimum light level
- when dimming up: the dimmer stops at the maximum (please note: longer than 10 sec. at maximum level,
(de)activates the memory function, see § 4.4.1)
- when dimming down, the dimmer stops for 2 sec. at the minimum and then dims back up
- a renewed (long) press reverses the dimming direction
Please note: The dimmer is never separated from the mains voltage. All components remain under
voltage, even when the lamp is switched off.

4.4. Memory function

4.4.1. Switching the memory function on or off
To activate the memory function, dim up to the maximum light level and then hold the control button down for
10 sec. After 10 sec. the light dims from 100% to a lower light level to indicate that the memory function has
been switched on. After this change in light intensity, immediately release the push button. Repeat the procedure
to deactivate the memory function.
This function, and the last set light level, is stored in a non-volatile memory; i.e. they will not be lost in the event
of a power failure. With the memory function, the dimmer switches on the first time at a light level selected by
Niko. After that, the dimmer switches on at the last set value.
4.4.2. Use dimming profiles LED 3, LED 7, and LED 8 with the memory function
These dimming profiles have been set up in such a way that the dimmer is briefly switched on at < 50 % of
the light intensity, before switching to the memory setting.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
General: PLC signals that are sent via the mains can interfere with the operation of the dimmer. This is not a defect.

By placing several dimmers on top of each other, or in an insulating wall (plaster or wood), it is possible that the
temperature of the dimmer rises above 35°C. The above power graph will then apply.
