Zero / (ON/OFF) button
1 T o switch the dial gauge on, briefly press the ZERO(ON-OFF) button
2. T o switch the dial gauge off, hold down the ZERO(ON-OFF) button
3. o apply a PRESET value, briefly press the ZERO(ON-OFF) button
(only possible in ABS mode)
SET button
ABS / INC
1. When the dial gauge is in the ABS measuring mode, the display shows
„ABS".
When the dial gauge is in the incremental measuring mode, the display shows
„INC".
When the dial gauge is in the ABS measuring mode, a PRESET value (0 or anot-
her preset value) can be applied by briefly pressing the ZERO(ON-OFF) button.

MODE button

T o change the display mode - briefly press the MODE button
TOL - T olerance mode
MAX - mode
MIN - mode
MAX-MIN - mode
PRESET - Value - Setting → SET / CAL
1. T o enter a PRESET value - hold down the SET button to access the Setup
menu. Briefly press the ZERO(ON-OFF) button to select the CAL function.
Briefly pressing the MODE button takes you further into the setup mode
and all digits and the +/- sign are displayed.
The last digit (right) flashes indicating that the value can be changed. With the
ZERO(ON-OFF) button, the desired digit - which is to be changed - can now
be selected. By briefly pressing the button, the flashing digit moves to the left.
In the flashing digit, the desired value can be changed with the MODE button.
y briefly pressing the in/mm button you can select the digits between 0 and 9.
After this, briefly press the Zero/ON button to select the next digit to be chan-
ed. After you have made the desired setting, briefly press the SET button to
save the entered value.

T olerance - Setting
→ SET / TOL
1. T o enter a tolerance - hold down the SET button. You are now directly in the
TOL function. Briefly pressing the MODE button takes you further into the set-
up mode and all digits and the +/- sign are displayed.
The last digit (right) flashes indicating that the value can be changed. With the
ZERO(ON-OFF) button, the desired digit - which is to be changed - can now be
selected. By briefly pressing the button, the flashing digit moves to the left. In the
flashing digit, the desired value can be changed with the MODE button. By briefly
pressing the MODE button you can select the digits between 0 and 9. After this,
briefly press the Zero(ON-OFF) button to select the next digit to be changed.

After setting the LOW TOL (lower tolerance limit), briefly press the SET button to
access the UP TOL setting (upper tolerance limit). In the same way, you can make
the settings for the UP TOL as explained above. After you have made the desired
setting, briefly press the SET button to save the entered value.
→ Briefly press the SET button to exit the Setup menu.
Comments:
If you set LOW TOL higher than UP TOL, the message „EEE" is displayed and a
new setting is requested.
TOL measurement (T olerance mode) → MODE/TOL
1. T o access the tolerance mode - briefly press the MODE button until TOL is
shown in the display.
2. T o exit the tolerance mode - briefly press the MODE button 2x until you
return to the normal measuring mode
If in the tolerance mode the measured value is less than LOW TOL: 
If in the tolerance mode the measured value is higher than UP TOL: 
If the value is within the tolerance: A circle  is displayed
Change mm / inch → SET/mm-In
1. T o change the unit of measurement - hold down the SET button to access
the Setup menu. Briefly press the ZERO(ON-OFF) button to select the
function mm-In. By briefly pressing the MODE button you can switch bet
ween the metric unit system „mm" and the English unit system „in".
Briefly press the SET button to confirm the setting.
→ Briefly press the SET button to exit the Setup menu.
Change measuring direction → SET/dir
1. T o change the measuring direction - hold down the SET button to access the
Setup menu. Briefly press the ZERO(ON-OFF) button to select the dir function.
Briefly pressing the MODE button takes you further into the setup mode and
all digits and the +/- sign are displayed. A positive or negative value can be
defined here. Briefly press the SET button to confirm the setting.

MAX / MIN / MAX-MIN - Measuring mode
1. T o access the MAX / MIN / MAX-MIN measuring mode - briefly press the
MODE button 2x. You can now select the desired display form by briefly pres-
sing the SET button.
MAX - saves the maximum value
MIN- saves the minimum value
MAX-MIN - sets display to zero and saves the maximum value
