4. Adjusting the stitch length

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

1. Be sure to adjust the scale of feed dial to the needle feed amount corresponding to the cloth
feed amount of the selected gears. If the cloth feed amount is different from the needle feed
amount, unexpected trouble will be caused.
2. As a matter of convenience, the scale of stitch length dial is indicated up to "0". However, the
minimum stitch length of this sewing machine is 2.1 mm. Do not set the scale of the feed dial to
less than 2.1 mm.
Simultaneously perform procedures 1 and 2 below to
change the stitch length.
1 Change of needle feed amount : Turning of the feed dial
2 Change of cloth feed amount
Be sure to adjust the scale of the feed dial to the stitch
length which has been set with the cloth feed amount

Perform the procedures below to change the stitch length.
<Change of cloth feed amount>
1) Remove screw 1 and remove cover 2 .

2) Loosen screw 3 and remove U-Gear 4 .
3) Loosen screw 6 and remove L-Gear 5 .
