2. Design and function
For any external cleaning ("wash-down"), e.g. in a
cabinet washer, the vent valve must be closed.
2.4 Model PG43SA-C with vent valve

Only ever operate the vent valve via the spanner flats and to the
prescribed torque using an appropriate tool.
By opening the vent valve, the pressure difference between the
atmosphere and the sealed case will be eliminated.
Maintaining the ingress protection is only ensured with a closed vent
valve.
Only through a brief venting of the case before each
pressure measurement can the pressure be read
correctly.
