Fit the emergency battery so that the leD
is visible.

On the sliding gate operator, pull the
connecting lead from below through the
tube seal and into the housing without any
distortion.

insert the emergency battery cable ends in
the appropriate connector of the control
print (see Figures 2a/2b). pay attention to
the correct polarity. if the polarity is
incorrect, the emergency battery will not
operate properly.

Reassemble the operator or control in
accordance with the instructions for fitting,
operating and maintenance.
NOTE:
if the connected lead is too long, the extra
length can be pushed back into the
emergency battery housing.

Putting into Service

Reconnect the operator power.
The orange leD on the emergency battery
signals that the battery is charging. if the leD
is green, the emergency battery is fully
charged and ready for operation.

Storage

The emergency battery should not remain
without recharging for longer than 3 months if
it is not connected to an operator.

Inspection

check the emergency battery for the first time
only after it has been fully charged. The
emergency battery is fully charged when the
green leD is illuminated.
NOTE:
To ensure operational safety, check the
function of the emergency battery every
3 months.

switch off the operator power supply

perform 2-3 complete gate cycles.
(The operator may work at a reduced
speed)

Reconnect the operator power.

Disposal

sales outlets, battery manufacturers and
importers and metal traders take back used
lead batteries and supply them to secondary
lead smelters for recycling. They are identified
with a recycling symbol and crossed out
rubbish bin.
To make recycling easier, used lead batteries
should not be mixed with other batteries.
please check the respective national burden of
proof for used batteries.
The electrolyte, i.e. the diluted sulphuric acid,
must not be improperly drained under any
circumstances; this process must be carried
out by the recycling facility.
