Warranty

HAMEG instruments are subject to a strict quality control. All
instruments are burned in for 10 hrs prior to shipment. By
intermittent operation almost all early failures are detected.
After burn-in a thorough test of all functions and of quality is
run, all specifications and operating modes are checked.
However, a component may fail after some time. Consequently,
HAMEG warrants all instruments for 2 years regarding pro-
per function provided there were no manipulations of the
instrument. Only the original packing is considered adequate
for shipping by train, postal or parcel service. The warranty
will be voided if damage during transport is due to neglect.
In case of any warranty claim please stick a label
to the case of the instrument indicating the cause
of trouble concisely. Add your address, name and
phone number including extension dialling. This
will help to accelerate processing your claim by
contacting you for further details.

Protective Switch Off

This instrument is equipped with a switch mode power supply.
It has both over voltage and overload protection, which will
cause the switch mode supply to limit power consumption to
a minimum. In this case a ticking noise may be heard.

Power supply

The instrument operates on mains/line voltages between
105 V
and 254 V
. No line voltage selector.

Change of line fuse

The line fuse is accessible on the rear panel. The power
receptacle and the fuse holder constitute one unit. Change
resp. exchange of the fuse is only possible after the female
part of the line cord was removed. The fuse may only be
exchanged if the fuse holder is not damaged. In order to
remove the fuse use a screw driver and put it under the lid of
the fuse holder, then pull it forward and out. The fuse can be
taken out of the clips and exchanged.
Then insert the fuse holder and press it against the spring
force into its proper position. Repairing of fuses or the use of
another type are prohibited as well as any means to bridge a
defective fuse. Any damage to the instrument caused by such
measures will void the warranty.
Type of fuse:
Size 5 x 20 mm;
250 V AC, C, IEC 127, p. III;
DIN 41662 (or DIN 41571, p. 3).
Slow blow: T 0.8 A.
