- The tool is not intended for professional or industrial use.
5.2- Operation:
1. Install tool firmly (see 4.4).
Connect product to a power source (refer to characteristics on product).
2. Prepare the bits you want to sharpen.
3. Wear appropriate protective equipment.
4. Insert bit in corresponding slot in the guide (1).
Firmly hold bit. Always maintain a balanced and secure position.
5. Press ON/OFF switch to position (I) to start machine.
6. Start sharpening (also refer to 5.4)
7. Do not apply excessive force, but a slight pressure on the bit and rotate it about 20 degrees in both
directions during the sharpening operation.
8. Stop sharpening (position switch to [0]), and remove the bit to check the sharpening level.
9. Carry out the sharpening on both sides of the bit, until the desired sharpening is achieved.
10. Once work is finished, stop product by positioning switch to (0) OFF.
Note: do not touch tool until the grinding wheel has come to a complete stop.
5.3- Grinding wheel adjustment
1. Turn the adjustment knob (4) clockwise to raise the wheel.
This will allow you to get a sharper grinding.
In addition, it will also be useful when working on short bits.
2- Turn the adjustment knob (4) anticlockwise to lower the wheel.
This is recommended if you want a finer edge, even if it takes longer time and requires repeating
sharpening operation more frequently.
5.4-Sharpening
1- A bit is properly sharpened when the following features:
A sharp point in the center of the bit.
Two sharp and equal cutting edges
Two trailing edges that are slightly lower than the cutting edges.
2- Tips
Insert the bit into the correct slot corresponding to its own diameter.
The drill must be kept in motion while it is in the tool.
Exert a lightly downward pressure on the bit, then rotate the bit back and forth about 20 while
sharpening.
Turn off tool for 10-15 seconds to examine the sharpening level.
Repeat sharpening, if necessary, until reaching the desired level of sharpening.
Be sure to sharpen both sides of the drill.
VI. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Before any intervention on product, ensure that product is disconnected from its
power source.
6.1- Cleansing
Clean plastic parts with a soft and clean cloth
Do not use aggressive cleansers (solvents or abrasive cleansers), or an abrasive sponge.
Do not use any caustic to clean the plastic parts.
Do not put or immerse tool in water or any other liquid, and ensure that no water gets inside the tool.
Clean ventilations holes with a soft brush.
